The Brockville Library has partnered with Contact North to bring courses to you at your local library. Computer stations in a quiet environment are available to students. Through contact North you can access thousands of courses at all skill levels.

Who is Contact North

Contact North ǀ Contact Nord works in partnership with Ontario’s 24 public colleges, 22 public universities and over 250 public essential skills and training providers to increase and improve online and distance learning opportunities for Ontarians in over 600 small, rural, remote, Aboriginal and Francophone communities across the province.

Examples of skills development opportunities:

  • Computer Use Essential Skills
  • Literacy
  • Diabetes and Diet
  • Creating a Blog
  • High school & GED
  • Office Administration

**Many literacy, basic skills and GED courses are available free of charge

Course & Webinar Schedules:

Paro Centre for Women's Enterprise: Has helped thousands of women across Northern Ontario start, grow or build new business opportunities. Every Wednesday they offer free webinars to anyone who is intersted.

Live Literacy: Free live webinars on topics ranging from math, literacy, budgeting, personal health, computer skills, administration, personal growth, etc.

Anytime Literacy: Independent Learning Courses on topics ranging from career exploration, computer skills, college readiness, office adminstration, etc.

Oasis Skills Building: Looking for cost effective professional development options for your employees or looking to advance your own skill set? Courses through Oasis cover a vast range of topics such as business management, customer service, online publishing, Microsoft Office, team building, supervision, sales skills and staying positive.
